          HYRUM—The region title is still up for grabs after the first day of the Region 5 track meet Wednesday. Teams are pushing to get their athletes qualified for the finals, which will take place Thursday, leading to state competition.       Logan Tennis Takes Region, SV Third, MC Fourth

        ROY— The three valley schools all travelled to Roy Wednesday to play in the Region 5 Tennis Tournament. Logan emerged victorious, winning with 45 points. Bonneville took second with 39 points, Sky View finished third with 28 points, and Mountain Crest finished fourth with 20 points.       OGDEN— The girl’s golf teams from the valley high schools traveled to The Barn Tuesday to compete in the Region 5 golf tournament.       LOGAN— With the season winding down, the Mountain Crest boys soccer team fought to a 2-2 overtime draw against Box Elder Friday.   “We had some good opportunities,” Mountain crest head coach Mike Gurney said. “The forwards are so skilled in passing and getting behind the defense.         HYRUM— Mountain Crest baseball showed off its defense Wednesday in a 5-0 win against region rival Box Elder.
