          HYRUM— Mountain Crest kept its momentum going strong Wednesday with a 10-5 victory over Salem Hills in the second round of the 4A State Playoffs.         HYRUM— The Mountain Crest Mustangs took on the Olympus Titans in the first round of the 4A State Playoffs, Tuesday afternoon at The Yard.         HYRUM— The Logan and Mountain Crest boy’s soccer teams met in a fierce competition Friday afternoon. MC was looking to avenge its two goal loss to Logan last month, while the Grizzlies were hoping to lock up a share of the Region 5 title.   After playing regulation and two overtime periods, it was the Grizzlies that came out on top, 2-1.   The Mustangs came out of the gates and controlled the tempo of the game for the first 10 minutes.           HYRUM—The region title is still up for grabs after the first day of the Region 5 track meet Wednesday. Teams are pushing to get their athletes qualified for the finals, which will take place Thursday, leading to state competition.           HYRUM— The Logan Grizzlies were able to get the 1-0 victory over Mountain Crest Wednesday afternoon on Senior Day for the Mustangs. With the win the Grizzlies put a halt to the Mustangs 12-game winning streak.       LOGAN— With the season winding down, the Mountain Crest boys soccer team fought to a 2-2 overtime draw against Box Elder Friday.   “We had some good opportunities,” Mountain crest head coach Mike Gurney said. “The forwards are so skilled in passing and getting behind the defense.
